Today I learned that an amazing man who I met on this Parkinson’s journey passed away last night. He passed while sleeping in bed next to his loving wife. Many knew of him as an architect, who held an appreciation for how things were put together and how the smallest detail can define a building. Some would say that he had an amazing sense of humor and was always quick to drop a joke. The members of my fitness classes admired his determination to not let his physical disabilities define him. He also loved his milkshakes and burgers!
I understand that he had many wonderful attributes that made him a good man, but I knew him as my friend. He was a gift and those who had the honor to have known him will remember him forever. Rest in peace my friend. The next milkshake is on me.
